How accurate are the measurements?
Generally, scans are between 1 to 6mm in accuracy. The closer and more scans taken, the more accurate the result. Thus, please cater for more time if you require high accuracy.
How long does it take and how much does it cost to scan my facility?
We can provide a more accurate price and time require when we have more information of the area size, level of detail and expected accuracy.
As a guide, each scan positions would take approximately 3 to 5 minutes. And a typical hotel reception level would require around 100 points.
Can the 3D Scanner scan through walls?
No, it is only possible to measure what the human eye can see. Likewise, the 3D laser scanner might not be able to measure effectively or accurately through water or glass, highly reflective surfaces or smoke, as the laser beam will be subjected to light diffraction as it passes through these materials.
Is it possible to scan an area in complete darkness?
Yes, the laser emitted by the 3D Laser Scanners are not affected by either darkness or daylight, however, we can only scan these areas only if they are accessible.
Can your BIM Model go up to LOD500?
Yes. Provided you have the Asset Information ready for us to tag to your components. However, do note that this will increase the price of this service.
